If I did find a fish, I'd equip his trinket for Asphodel and hope for the dialog. What I did was keep an eye out for fishing spots in Tartarus and avoid Poseidon like the plague. You need to talk to him after having caught a fish in that specific run, assuming you've met the total catches requirement along with at least 1 legendary fish. Hypnos just takes forever because you need to watch is conversations with Thanatos, and Thanatos does not like showing up. Now all that's left is the tedious process of getting Hypnos's Favor to unlock.goddammit. Update: Finally got max affinity on all the Olympians. So yeah, am I just getting fucked by RNG for these affinity quests or am I missing something? So currently Hypnos is saying nothing relevant to start his quest, Nyx is talking about Chaos (having just returned), and Dusa is missing (I finished her affinity quest before this happened). However during the lead up to me finishing the Nyx/Chaos storyline, I ran into the Dusa getting fired storyline while Nyx was at Chaos. I've finished everyone's storyline and just finished Nyx/Chaos's storyline. Note that this storyline is quite long, and is not guaranteed to progress each time you respawn. Once the storyline is complete, Hypnos' heart will unlock.
As for Hypnos, the house of Hades is currently in a weird spot. Talk to both Hypnos and Thanatos (while both are in the House of Hades) enough times to progress the storyline of improving Hypnos’ work ethic/ability. For Ares, I've killed WELL over the threshold required to unlock his favor, but yeah still no favor. I've already done both of Poseidon's favors for catching fish, and doing extreme measures 3, but his last heart isn't unlocking. For the other 3 though I'm having some problems. For Hermes, according to the guide, I just have to talk to him with a maxed out Plume equipped, so that's no problem, same for Demeter being unlocked after the epilogue. So I've only got a few locked hearts left: Hypnos, Poseidon, Ares, Hermes, and Demeter.
